Find a Meeting/Contact Local AA
“When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of AA always to be there,” says AA’s Responsibility Declaration.
There are over two million members of Alcoholics Anonymous worldwide in over 180 countries. So there is a good chance that somewhere in the world a meeting is going on right now.
You can find a meeting in your area very simply:
- Check your phone book for local listings of Alcoholics Anonymous. They can tell you when and where meetings are held in your area.
- Use the online AA directory to find meetings in the U.S. and Canada
- Use this international directory (PDF) to find meetings outside the U.S. and Canada
If you need to talk to someone right now:
- You can speak with someone in AA by calling your local AA office. Also, the online intergroup can put you in contact with someone online, 24 hours a day, in real time or through e-mail.
You will find that members of Alcoholics Anonymous are always willing to help you find a meeting and share their experience, strength, and hope. This helps them stay sober, too.
Information about AA and services for its members is on the AA World Services website: www.aa.org
